Dirt on A-Rod
Jose Canseco promised some information about Alex Rodriguez in his new book:
Canseco told WEEI-Radio in Boston on Friday that he has "other stuff" on the Yankees slugger, who he called a "hypocrite" who "was not all he appeared to be."
When asked if A-Rod had used steroids, Canseco told WEEI, "Wait and see."
Okay, I'll wait. It could just as easily be about A-Rod's sex life. It it does involve drugs, however, it will need to be taken seriously. Canseco's first book was pretty much on the money.
Update: This story reminds me not to get too caught up in believing any particular player is clean or not. You might get disappointed.

How I wish no one cared.
There are rules against it now and testing. Problem solved.
Of course, bunch of people used PEDs before, legally and illegally (legally = had prescription or outside US; illegally = didn't have prescription and in US). Wanting to attribute the fact that today's players are better trained than their predecessors to drugs is silliness. Wanting to attribute the superiority of certain players to their peers to drugs is equally silly.
Say ARod did a cycle of steroids once - so what?
So far one player that Canseco named has tested positve. This is the third post I've read that says "boy, we better listen this time, he's the only honest guy in this whole thing." Let's not get carried away here. There are barely words for what Jose Canseco is as a human being, but it can be said that he'll say anything to make a dollar.
The problem for Canseco is that A-Rod can point to years of testing and say, they haven't found anything and I'm having my biggest year. That's a toughie for Canseco to get around, unless he's got some real evidence against A-Rod instead of gossip.
Now the sex stuff might be interesting. Though how would Canseco know? Maybe they dated the same strippers (wink).
