In a Pinch

The Giants send up Dave Roberts to pinch hit, who draws a walk. Mark Sweeney works Gregg hard, and doubles to right on a 3-2 pitch. Roberts was running on the pitch, and he's still very fast for a 35 year old. He scores from first on a close play and ties the game at three.

Update: Winn walks to put runners at first and second with none out. There's a chance Bonds may get another chance to homer in this game.

Update: Vizquel sacrifices to put runners at 2nd and 3rd.

Update: Durham singles to deep right, winning the game for the Giants 4-3. Kevin Gregg's only out came on the sac by Vizquel. It's his fourth blown save of the season. Interestingly , Benitez pitched well in the eighth, despite the boos of the crowd. He walked one but erased with with a GDP. The Bonds watch goes on for another day.
