The Mighty Pen

A poor start by Chad Billingsley was followed by a near perfect four innings by the Dodgers relievers as they hang on to defeat the Phillies 5-4. Kyle Kendrick gave up five runs in his 5 1/3 innings of work, which was the difference in the game. The Dodgers pen allowed just one hit and no walks as they struck out four to preserve the lead. The Dodgers pen lowers their ERA to 3.52.

Ethier provided most of the offense for LA with a three run blast. That's just his 8th home run of the season.
