Phillips Empties the Fill 'Up

John Maine loads the bases on two hits and a walk, then gives up a grand slam to Brandon Phillips. Opponents are now six for twelve against Maine with the bases loaded, including two home runs.

The Phillies have collected six hits and four runs in the first inning so far, taking a 4-0 lead over Kip Wells and the Cardinals. They trail the Mets by five games.

Update: The Phillies end up scoring five in the first. An error by Wells led to two unearned runs.
