A Wang and A-Rod
Chien Ming-Wang gave the Yankees 6 1/3 scoreless innings today, way more than the Yankees needed as they defeated the Angels 12-0. Wang walked just two and allowed just five hits, all singles. The bullpen was even better, giving up just a walk while striking out three. Wang lowers his ERA to 3.36, about 0.3 runs below last year's mark.
Alex Rodriguez was one of three Yankees to go deep today. For Alex, it was home run number 30, giving him ten straight seasons in which he's reached that level. The players to do that:
| Player | 30 Home Run Streak (Years) |
| Barry Bonds | 13 |
| Jimmie Foxx | 12 |
| Sammy Sosa | 10 |
| Carlos Delgado | 10 |
| Alex Rodriguez | 10 |
There are six players with a streak of 9, including Manny Ramirez who can extend his to 10 this year. Delgado's streak is also active. Ruth's longest streak was eight seasons, and Aaron managed seven.

you hear about the new prospect the Yanks are trying to sign from Korea? His name is Dong. He'll fit right in.
The homer gave him 494 lifetime, passing Gehrig and Fred McGriff.
What about streaks of 35+? That would be even more interesting. Keep us updated when A-Rod hits 35 HR's later.
