The Atlanta Braves pound the Brewers bullpen enroute to a 9-3 victory. David Bush pitched seven strong innings for Milwaukee, matching Tim Hudson in hits, but bettering him in runs allowed, walks and strikeouts. He left with a 2-1 lead, but each of the four relievers allowed at least one run, with Turnbow and Spurling allowing three each. The Brewer's bullpen was a strength this season, posting a 3.40 ERA as a group. This set of outings will push that up.
Kelly Johnson continues to be a force for the Braves at the top of the lineup. He reached base four times today with three hits and a walk. Along with his seventh home run of the season, he now holds a .395 OBA and a .500 slugging percentage.
