The Strategy Worked

The Red Sox took both ends of the double header. Boston extends their lead over the Yankees to 9 1/2 games.

Heh, not really sure the second game really counted as their "A" lineup. I mean Lugo, Ortiz, and Drew were all out, while game 1 was only missing Drew and Varitek. (Pedroia too, but he barely counts as a regular at this point with Cora getting so much playing time)

So now the Yankees play a first place Mets team for the weekend, and then play Boston. Man, the Yanks are having a tough year. I wouldn't be surprised if they're at least 10.5 back of Boston by Monday morning.
