Snell Pitches Well

Ian Snell pitched a fine game today even though he didn't need to. The Pirates put together an eleven hit attack and drew seven walks as they sent the Braves down 13-2. Snell struck out seven in his seven innings of work while allowing just two runs. His ERA now stands at 2.38, up just a tad today.

It's the third time this season the Pirates drew seven or more walks in a game (their season high is 8). In 28 of their 36 games, they've drawn 3 walks or less.

No homers in the game, so no money to breast cancer research. The bastards!
