Winning the Start, Losing the End

Bartolo Colon out-pitched Mark Buehrle, going seven innings to Mark's six, allowing five hits to Buehrle's seven, and taking the run contest 2 to 3. But the White Sox bullpen was a different story, as they kept the Angels off the board for four innings, giving the White Sox a chance to tie the game and then win it in the tenth inning. In his second inning of work, K-Rod gave up a double to Sweeney and a GWRBI single to Pierzynski. The Angels now lead Oakland and Seattle by one game, while Chicago keeps pace with Cleveland and Detroit, staying four games back.
