Phillip Baudrand takes issue with Ron Guidry's coaching of the Yankees' pitching staff.

Guidry was the pitching coach last year, and the Yankees didn't experience this kind of catastrophic breakdown. I'm open to the argument that Guidry could be better or that there are better options available, but there needs to be a little more evidence than this semi-correlation.

It's more strength/conditioning.
Now, if the pitchers' mechanics were off, or there was bad pitch selection, that I'd put on his shoulders (and while I loved his 1978 season, I'm not sure he is a very good coach)
