Full Colon
Bartolo Colon appears to be healthy again. He's in the middle of shutting down one of the best offenses in baseball as he's gone seven innings against the Devil Rays, allowing just two runs. His control is back, as he's walked one while striking out eleven. He's over 100 pitches, so he may be done for the day. The Angels lead 11-2.

It's probably too much to hope for the old Bart to return (and this one outing is too small a sample size to tell whether he has), but according to the radio broadcast, Colon was pushing 95-97 on his last pitches of the game, about the velocity he used to have. Reports of his velocity being gone may well be false. Or, he's just that much closer to a return trip to the DL. Either way, it looks like the Angels will get some value from him this final year of his contract.
Loretta ain't hitting so great at an .827 OPS. But in the kingdom of the blind...
He's second on the club behind only Lamb at .874. When you've got two (2) guys on the right side of the .800 OPS line, you're not going to score a whole lot of runs.
The raal puzzler is Berkman at .714. Yeah, it's still early, but Lance has had almost 100 PA's. He's got to wake up sooner or later, or this club will never score.
Oops, wrong thread. Sorry.
