Dice-K in the Seventh

Matsuzaka starts the seventh, but the Red Sox have the bullpen working.

Update: Shealy strikes out swinging to start the inning. Daisuke goes over 100 pitches.

Update: Gload strikes out swinging. That's 10.

Update: Buck flies out to center to end the inning. According to the broadcast, the record for strikeouts in a Red Sox debut belongs to Don Aase with 11.

Update: Matsuzaka is done, as is Greinke. Matsuzaka Watch pretty much nailed the prediction of Dice-K's line.

Great outing by Dice-K.

It'll be interesting to see how Ichiro hits against Dice-K next week, and what strategies the rest of the Seattle lineup brings to the matchup.

Knowing Seattle it will be swing and a miss all day long.

The Seattle lineup has strategies, plural? News to those of us over at USS Mariner. What team is more likely to trail the AL in BBs than the Mariners? Daisuke is going to eat the rest of that lineup for lunch, even if Ichiro can handle it.
