Writing MLB

FishStripes has the e-mail address for MLB if you'd like to complain about the DirecTV deal:

If you would like to voice your opinion, you can contact MLB via email here: csmedia@website.mlb.com

If you do write them, be nice. Starting out the first sentence with "What are you morons thinking?" probably won't get the rest of your complaint read. Yeah, I know, they are morons but no one likes to be reminded of it.

Good advice for any e-mail.

...and while you're complaining about that, put in a word about the Division Series and 1/2 of the CS for the next 7 years NOT being on network TV.

40% of the USA is not on cable or a dish.

Ratings for MLB on TV continue to spiral down the drain. These dumb decisions made by Bob Dupuy avec amis do nothing to help the situation.

I have to wonder about this new email address from MLB. Has it been set up merely as a receptacle for DirecTV deal complaints? I still prefer to try to reach individuals at MLB by name, such as : first name.surname@mlb.com.
{you fill it in} This is the pattern of all their email addresses. And this is the pattern that's brought responses for me. But perhaps this new address is OK? Anyway, it's the one that Buster Olney suddenly posted yesterday in his blog, too. I know I shouldn't be so suspicious.

So, you're thinking something stronger than "morons"?

This is a huge blunder. I've got a list of a LOT of folks you can complain to at the bottom of my post:

I think the strongest argument is that it is killing the golden goose -- by alienating the core fans, who because they learn more, they educate others, and put the "butts in the stadium seats" -- and they themselves go to non-home team games. I would never be so interested in Anaheim, Oakland & Seattle if it weren't for Extra Innings. And I can't get (and don't want) a dish -- I live in a Manhattan apt. -- Mon (Yankee fan)
