Marlins GM Larry Beinfest explains how the injury occured at the Marlins MLB.com site. Here is the link and his quote:

"We got word from the Dominican that he kind of tripped when he was sliding. He slid awkwardly on the left shoulder. We got the call yesterday morning. We didn't want to waste any time. It was precautionary and we also wanted to make sure it wasn't serious, and it doesn't appear to be so."

I hope he's alright and there are no lingering problems. He's so much fun to watch.

Hopefully he's ok and will be ready for the 2007 season. He's good for baseball and great for the Marlins.

I almost expected to hear that it was a PS3 or Wii injury.
