Two Run Hits
Chris Carpenter hurt his Cy Young chances tonight on three timely hits. Orlando Palmeiro sandwiched a pinch hit two-run single between a pair of two-run homers by Lance Berkman to put the Astros on top 6-5. Berkman's last homer came in the bottom of the eighth. The Astros pen pitched four perfect innings to allow the comeback. Berkman sets a new career high in home runs with 43, and the four RBI leave his two short of his career mark of 128.
