The Cincinnati Reds brought out the big bats tonight as they used four home runs to help score nine runs and defeat the Pirates by eight. Kyle Lohse made his for appearance and third start for the Reds in Cincinnati and is now 2-0 there with a 1.71 ERA. The Reds, like the Phillies, have a chance to pick up ground in the wild card race.
