Fifty Four and Counting
Ryan Howard broke a 3-3 tie in the third inning with his 54th homer of the season. That puts him on a pace for 62 home runs this season. He's also on a pace for 156 RBI. With a few good games, he might end up with more RBI than games played, an impressive feat.
Update: Dophin Stadium is playing more like Citizen's Bank Ballpark tonight. The Phillies are leading the Marlins 11-8 going to the bottom of the 8th. There's been three home runs on each side, including the 26th by Utley and the 25th by Cabrera.
Update: Mr. Marlin, Jeff Conine, hits a three-run blast for the Phillies in the top of the ninth to put Philadelphia up six, 14-8. It's the seventh home run of the game.
