Six Shutouts

This is the 12th time since 1974 (the start of the day by day database) that we've had six shutouts in one night. The Royals are leading the Yankees 5-0 after seven, so we may get to seven tonight. The last time we had six in one night was 6/14/2005, after a nearly seven year drought.

Update: According to the record book, the most shutouts in one day is 8, set June 4, 1972.

It is done, Jeter strikes out with the base juiced in the 9th, Yankees gets shutout.

One of those days.... Yankees couldn't come through with big hits... you know somethings' wrong when Robby Cano has 2 walks!!
