Classic in the Making?
In the bottom of the fourth, Roger Clemens and Cole Hamels have combined to allow one hit and strikeout out eight batters. Cole's retired all 12 men he's faced, and Roger is in trouble as he's walked two and hit a batter to start the fourth. No score yet, but that might change soon as Burrell bats with the bases loaded.
Update: Clemens gets Burrell looking for the first out and his fifth K of the game.
Update: The Rocket hits Conine, the second HBP of the inning and the Phillies score in the inning without a hit. Bases still loaded with one out.
Update: Coste grounds into a double play to end the inning.
Hamels strikes out Lane to start the fifth. Lane thought it was ball four and started to first. I've seen a few pitches so far where I thought the ump was generous.
Update: Hamels strikes out Huff and Bruntlett to end the inning. He's retired 15 in a row struck out seven along the way. The Phillies maintain their 1-0 lead.
