Support Your Local Escobar

On a day filled with great pitching performances, Kelvim Escobar finishes up the slate with an eight inning, two hit performance against the Tigers. He threw just 103 pitches as he struck out seven and walked two. That was enough to get the win as the Angels manage just two runs against the Tigers staff. Escobar's run was unearned; part of the problem in having a losing record is he's now allowed 17 unearned runs on the season. The other part is that while he's allowed just 85 runs, the Angels only scored 90 for him. He's a good pitcher, but he needs better offensive and defensive support from his teammates.
