Half Way to DiMaggio

Chase Utley lines a single to center in the bottom of the eighth inning to extend his hitting streak to 28 games. It also puts the tying run on for the Phillies with one out in the innings.

Update: Abreu grounds into a force play, then with Howard at the plate, gets picked up by Tankersley. They're going to the ninth with the Marlins leading 1-0.

He broke his bat on the hit as well.

Abreu got picked off with Howard at the plate to end the inning. That wasn't smart.

and people want to know why most phillies fans want him and his huge contract gone.

any of you baseball professionals on here have any estimates on how much money bobby would get if he were a free agent this offseason? would it be 10m a year? i'd guess much less.
