Gyro Coming to America
Via Deadspin, it looks like the Japanese pitcher who throws the Gyroball wants to play in the United States next year. It also appears Daisuke Matsuzaka can throw an unlimited number of pitches without hurting his arm. It's the return of the the complete game!
I hope he does come to the United States. He sounds too good to be true. Therefore, I'll be very skeptical of his future success. On the bright side, if the gyroball is everything we hear, there could be a pitching revolution that takes us back to the 1960s in terms of offense.

Why would Matsuzaka be expected to throw complete games in the US? Hideo Nomo racked up big pitch counts in Japan and left and was used in similar fashion to American pitchers once he got here.
Matsuzaka would likely garner a huge contract and no team is going to burn him out.
Matsuzaka has had arm troubles before, though, I thought? Wasn't he sidelined for a period in 2003? No?
I would love to see a pitching revolution... then we'll see the return of small ball style games and more hustle! With teams having to wait for the big HR, nobody really feels that base running is important anymore (unless you're playing against Piazza).
Looks like a sinking fastball, or am I missing something.
From the video, this just looks like a Screwball. I have used a similar grip to throw a screwball before.
