Wright Out

Jaret Wright didn't have his good stuff tonight. In fact, he didn't have any stuff. He gives up six hits in the second inning and the Mets lead 4-0 as Ron Villone comes in to try to get the third out.

Jose Reyes tripled in the inning to drive in two. It's the 34th triple of his career. He's the fifty-fourth player to reach 34 triples through seasonal age 23 and the fifth since expansion in 1961. Youngsters tripling is making a bit of a comeback as Carl Crawford had 49 through age 23, and Cristian Guzman picked up 37, both reaching age 23in this decade.

Update: Villone walks Delgado but gets Wright to pop out to recent acquistion Nick Green to end the inning.
