Twilight Zone

John Patterson is making mincemeat out of the Marlins lineup tonight. With the 6 PM start, the sun is shining brightly in center, making his pitches tough to pick up. On top of that, Patterson pitches are really moving tonight. His curve is very sharp, and his fastball is hitting the corners. Through two innings, Patterson struck out five, all looking. We'll see if that continues as the sun sets.

6K through three, so far. Thank god it seems that at least one of our frontline starters can still pitch. Even when Patterson lost in his last game, he was striking them out. I'd like to see some offense though.

But then that would be greedy of me, no doubt.

He's tied his career high with 13Ks now, and given up only three hits. A gem of a game from Patterson, but the Nats could still easily blow it, since it's 1-0 game (typical Nats hitting).
