people sure talk a lot, don't they?

Who, pray tell, are the Rays getting for Lugo?

hogwash.

Heilman, perhaps, who is unhappy about being in the bullpen.

Frankly, I think this would be a good move for the Rays, to open up some playing time for B.J. Upton.

To Mike: I know the Mets are crazy but in this case they would be fit for an insan asylum.
They would be out of their minds to let Heilman go, a good pitcher for relief and starting and they are not that rich in pitching. In this case The Rays would have stolen a player.

Maybe I'm being unfair, but to me if you want to be taken seriously, you shouldn't post your blogs in the form of a video in which you are clearly speaking to the camera from your messy dorm room wearing an NBA Jersey. It also doesn't help when you talk Julio Lugo as part of an "Amazing" middle infield combination.

Maybe this kid really does have a source, and maybe there IS an 85% chance this deal will go down, but... You gotta look the part, ya know?

You are correct J Rab, and I know what I am talking about. I am a lawyer. Terrible deal, but as the BMC noted it is nonsense. Bannister will get 5 starts max, if he falters Heilman is in the rotation. There is no other option, unless Omar is off his meds and yearns for Stop, Limatime!!! While Jose may be dope on the floor, and magic on the mic, he would rot on the mound. That the Rays have been asking for Heilman for the last year is irrelevant.

Jerry: Don't forget these are the same Mets that traded Scott Kazmir to the Devil Rays for, uh, Victor Zambrano. They are not above making incredibly stupid trades.

Ben, different front office, although Minaya and Randolph seems to get a good hate on for the youngsters every now and again. Omar loves Lugo, but if he moves Heilman after thinning the rotation by tossing Seo and Benson overboard he is an injury or two away from the firing squad. It would border on criminal negligence. Even the Wilpons would catch on eventually.

No. Way. This. Happens.

we (the mets) already have a solid shortstop and a crop of young 2nd basemen ready for their deserved chance. this "trade" would be pointless.
