Independent Thinking notices a Boston Globe editorial endorsing an independent league team for Boston.

It's a great idea. The team would provide inexpensive but professional sports entertainment. The could even schedule games when the Red Sox are not home so there's no direct competition.

Baseball Musings is conducting a pledge drive in March. Click here for details.

Isn't an average Red Sox ticket about $90? I don't see them going after the same fan.

You're right Al, they are going for the same fans, only the ones that can't afford the tickets - or don't want to afford the tickets to Fenway.

I think this is a great idea and that it will work if they can get the stadium in the right location.
