Ken Arneson says something positive about Ned Colletti, I think.

I love how the Baseball Wiki is called Wiki Gonzalez. Priceless.

Anyway, as much as I hate to play the sexism card, I'm very disappointed that the Dodgers chose Colletti over Ng. Nothing I've read has me convinced that Colletti was a better choice. First, not only is he an organization outsider (like DePo), but he's coming from the hated Giants. Second, the Giants player development plan now revolves around two outfielders in their forties and Armando Benitez. Sure, they have a few good young players, but no plan. I don't care if Colletti was working for Sabean. It seems that assistant GMs get a lot of responsibilities and input on player moves and development sa well.

The Dodgers had a chance to make history again. Instead, I'd bet that Tommy Lasorda, long himself a member of the boys' club, decided that baseball wasn't for girls. I hope Ng gets her shot soon. It's a shame she hasn't been promoted to GM somewhere yet.

Maybe we'll see her in Boston soon?

Just caught the last 10 minutes of the press conference on XM. To be charitable, Colletti sounded like an idiot. He rambled on and on, contradicted himself about three times. Initially he said chemistry was more a byproduct than a driver of winning, and then must have seen Tommy-boy out of the corner of his eye and immediately changed course.

Of course, Kevin Kennedy starts off the analysis with what a great job he did explaining his old school philosopy. Kennedy's shameless plugging for another managerial job is just pathetic.
