Nevin Dealt
The Padres finally swung a deal for a lousy pitcher. Phil Nevin could not refuse a trade to Texas, so the Rangers send Chan Ho Park to the Padres. I don't quite understand the trade from the point of view of the Rangers. They're down a pitcher with Rogers suspended, and now they're down another starter. Will we be seeing a three man rotation in Texas?
The move is probably a good one for Chan Ho. He had sucess in Dodger Stadium, and should be more comfortable in PETCO than in Arlington.

Weird thing is that the Rangers have gotten two straight terrific games from the pitching staff. Two runs allowed over eighteen innings and wins by 2-1 and 4-1. That doesn't happen very often for Texas.
The team is 3-0 since Rogers' suspension began. Hm.
Young, Benoit and Rodriguez are in the rotation until further notice. Wasdin will probably get more starts after his effort tonight. The fifth spot will be covered by committee until Rogers returns. C.J. Wilson gets the call Sunday.
I was at the game last night in Toronto. It was Korean night! And I didn't know that Park was traded until now.

Regarding "not understanding the trade from the point of view of the Rangers," other than perhaps the Creator, who would appreciate what motivates Tom Hick's lackeys?
