Fish Bowl
ESPN is reporting that there has been a tiny bit of progress on a new home for the Marlins. I like the idea that the city can seize the team if the ownership can't handle cost overruns. Financing, in that case, would not be a total loss for the government.

As a resident of Miami-Dade County, I disagree. If the city or county takes over the team, it will mean the team couldn't pay its bills (or at least the overruns for the stadium). Why would the city want to own the team at that point? It for sure wouldn't be in great financial shape.
