It's the seventh. It's 13-6. I still think the Red Sox are going to win this.

Darn,

I was about to comment how even on the radio, you can tell the sox don't want it. Fatally poor baserunning, completely flat pitchers, no good plan for tomorrow, fans dead quiet. But then the yankees have made it moot as I type this. Unbelievable.

I think the series was over when they scored all those runs off schilling. Sure it was a good game afterwards, but there was the impending defeat of pedro "i will pitch well again but my daddy will beat me nonetheless"martinez. And although the yanks have been poor on pitching tonight, they have crushed the living crap out of what ever boston has offered, and still are only 2 pitchers in.

Ah, now varitek homers giving the boston fans the tiny hope that makes beating the Sox even more satisfying for Yankee fans.

Maybe we will see pedro tonight if it gets close again?

What a fiasco for boston.

The funny thing is that even though the Red Sox are probably the 2nd-best team in the AL, there's probably a lot of teams besides them that could at least give the Yankees a better run for their money. Like the Angels, for example. Heck, the Twins won a game and made the rest competitive. Remember when the Indians beat them 22-0? I wonder if the Red Sox's inferiority complex vis-a-vis the Yankees just becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy... facing them just fills them with such dread. It certainly fills the fans with dread.

Or maybe it's just a matter of Schilling being injured and the rest of the team having bad days at the same time.
