Double Dark
The Athletics and Blue Jays are both wearing dark shirts today; the A's are dark green and the Blue Jays look black. I find this very confusing. When I turned on the TV the A's were in the field and the Blue Jays were running the bases. At first, I couldn't tell which team was which. Rule 1.11(b) states:
A league may provide that (1) each team shall wear a distinctive uniform at all times, or (2) that each team shall have two sets of uniforms, white for home games and a different color for road games.
It's my opinion that the league provide for (2), or at least prohibit both team from wearing dark jerseys.

We're not talking basketball or football here. The batter and pitcher are from different teams, and the baserunners are the ones without gloves.
gee al, good thing dave's got you around. that was a very good and helpful explanation and i'm sure that even someone of dave's limited understanding understood. whatever would he do if you weren't here?
While your comment made me laugh, Lisa, I think Al's got a point. In baseball, you don't really ever get the kind of large-numbers scrums that you have to sort out by uniform color, like you would in the lane in basketball or on the line of scrimmage in football.
Here's a question for David: How long did the confusion last?
My prediction: Not long. It was just an initial weirdness that was quickly gotten over.
