Bucky Ball
Bucky Jacobsen is certainly making an impression for the Mariners. He hit his 5th HR in 11 games today. He'll be 29 at the end of August, so I don't think he'll be breaking any career HR records. He's getting on base and hitting for power, which is just what you want from a 1B/DH. Soccer Dad has been following Bucky.

Edgar Martinez didn't get much of a chance until he was 27. I think this is the passing of the torch.
I'm a charter member of the Bucky Backers (since his first year of pro ball). It's great to see how well he's doing and how Seattle has embraced him. He's enjoying every minute of it, and we're being interviewed by a lot of sports writers about him.
