Doug's Day?

Doug Davis has a no-hitter through 3 innings against the Reds. While the chance of that lasting through 9 aren't good, Davis' chance of lasting through 9 are. He's only thrown 26 pitches through those three innings, 20 for strikes.

Unfortunately, the game's not on TV.

Update: The Reds break up the no-no in the fourth.

Update: It turns out to be Claussen's day instead. The rookie pitches 7 innings, allowing two runs to pick up the win. That's two starts, two wins, one in each league for the lefty.

The Brewers might be coming down to earth. The team's strength has been great pitching and few injuries. Our (Brewers fans) hopes rest in the offense finally starting to score (especially Geoff Jenkins). While spitting with the Cubs at Wrigley was a good way to start off the second half of the season we may be seeing the pitchers become mortals (except for Ben Sheets).
