I Guess There Is Nothing Wrong With It
Daniel Drezner posts about a survey by the Chicago Tribune of baseball players. One of the most interesting things to Dan (and I agree) is that 74% say having a gay teammate would not be a problem. I guess the players are more open minded than we think.

Considering most players already have a gay teammate then thats a good thing. Perhaps it would be good if a Hall-of-Fame catcher from the Midwest finally comes out.
It wasn't just the Chicago Tribune. It was Tribune Company newspapers -- LA Times, Allentown Morning Call, Hartford Courant, Newsday and I think the Washigton Post. There were others, but I don't remember. It was a good package though.
Don't underestimate the power of the other 26%. Due to convention, many of the 74% who are okay with homosexualityy may become passive and unsupportive in the face of homophobia.

Or that they lie to say what they know they're supposed to say.
