Extra! Extra!
Minnesota and Milwaukee are each involved in extra inning games tonight, the 7th for each team. That leads the majors. They are certainly giving their fans a lot of baseball for money.
Update: The Angels, on the other hand, have yet to play an extra-inning game. Good teams tend to win big.
Update: Yankees tied the Angels at 7 after 9. They're in the tenth now.

I heard that the Angels game was called after four-and-a-half innings when they were winning. Is it true it hadn't rained for an hour but the umpires called the game due to another storm on the way?
Roger's 7-0, woot!
I was at the NYY-ANA game but didn't stay beyond the rain delays.
There were two rain delays in the fourth inning which totaled out at over 2 hours. The first delay came with 1 out, and lasted a half hour. Right about as play resumed it started raining again and as soon as Brown got the next two outs, the second delay started. The rain then lasted another 30 minutes or so, until maybe 9:10 and then quit. Then everyone sat around wondering when the hell is the game going to resume. About 10:00 it started raining again and most everyone who was still in the stands took off, including me. But the rain only lasted maybe 5 minutes. Anyway, play finally resumed at about 10:40 and kept going without a break.
According to the Yanks radio, the looong delay was because they had forecasts saying another storm was going to pass through during that 9:00-10:30 slot. But except for the 5 minute sprinkle, it never really happened.
I was conspiracy theorizing to a friend that the game would be called 90 minutes into the long delay so that the game wouldn't be official and the Yanks wouldn't take a loss. However, this is Anaheim's only trip to town so making up a rain out would have been a real problem, esp. since Wednesday's game might run into rain trouble too.
Oakland and Detroit went to 15 full last night as well...
