Does anyone know what's wrong with Mussina? He's one of my least-hated (can't say favorite, its a sin) Yankees that I like to watch. Its a shame that this is happening to him (well, he can do this every time he faces the Sox....)

Maybe he lost faith in his stuff and is trying to nibble too much?

Mussina's first three starts have been a mystery to everybody. I can't figure out what his problem is. I wonder if it's a mental thing though. I do think his curveball is not in control...usually Moose has excellent control of his stuff. Also his pitches are hittable because they are coming in high I think. I really hope he snaps out of this slump soon.

Heard Peter Gammons talking about Mussina on Dan Patrick show and he said that Mussina has lost 5 MPH off of his fastball plus he has no command.
He said the Yankees need him to win at least 15 games. He also mentioned that Mussina doesn't do much working out in offseason.
