Met K's
A good pitching duel in Puerto Rico tonight. Al Leiter makes his 2004 debut for the Mets, facing John Patterson, making his Expos debut. Neither has allowed a run yet, and Patterson has struck out six through five innings. The Mets batters are averaging 8.25 K per game this year. If you had a pitching staff with that rate, you'd be very happy.

Leiter has had some tough innings and has been impressive. Of course, the Expos aren't the best at generating offense. However, the Mets aren't providing very solid defense and now J. Seoi is in the game.
I think the Mets need to start hitting as well. Some run support would be great right now. Clearly is a pitcher's dual. Patterson looks great. He is a key man for the Expos because they really lack the depth in pitching they had last season.
