I have thoughts on the steroid issue, and I also have another thought - Barry Bonds took steroids in 1988, not 2001.

It's really interesting...I examined Bonds' statistics and found an unnerving trend - in 1988, 1990, 1994, and 2001, Bonds had jumps in statistics.

But even though pretty much everyone is using steroids (okay, that's an exaggeration), I don't think asterisks should be placed on their records. It's all a question of benefit (also covered in the Barry Bonds post in my blog).

Steroids is the sports issue of the 21st century. It may take years before it is solved - but it will be solved.
