Crap Shoot

This is just perfect.

A few weeks after admitting he bet on baseball, Pete Rose is going to an eastern Connecticut casino to sign his new book and dine with high-rollers.

The career hits leader, who agreed in 1989 to a lifetime ban from baseball following an investigation of his gambling, is to appear at Foxwoods Resort Casino on Saturday for an invitation-only signing of his book, "My Prison Without Bars," the Day of New London and the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Isn't that special? Just when Pete should be putting on his best public face in order to appear sorry for what he's done and hurt he's caused, he decides that a casino is the place to have a book signing? I think Rose is hopeless.

Earth to Pete...Earth to Pete... Aw, just forget it.

Without being sympathetic to Pete it's obvious that he has no capacity to make prudent decisions. He seems to have the functional maturity of a 9 year old. It would be sad if there weren't people out there with a much harder row to hoe than Pete.

This is pathetic. An embarrassment. I truly hope he never gets accepted into the HOF.
