Interesting idea, that Baseball and Country Music have parallel histories, "America's sport and America's music moved from the fringes to the mainstream, gaining exposure and building heroes, first via radio broadcasts and then on the television screen."

Baseball has SABR - Country music has.... ?

A link to all songs related to Baseball...even an Irving Berlin tune.

There's some great folk music related to baseball too. My favorite is John McCutcheon's "Baseball on the Block." He also did a great song called "Just Doin' My Job" that starts off with Cal Ripken setting his record and branches into a broader celebration of everyday labor.
