Back to Brooklyn

It looks like the New Jersey Nets will be moving to Brooklyn shortly. I think it's a great move, and I've felt for a while that Brooklyn would be a perfect destination for the Expos.

I have no defensible basis for keeping the Nets in Jersey. Low attendance and a soulless, unreachable arena guarantee that. But as a Jersey native, it's still a bit sad, especially as they've been pretty damn good the last few years. Like New York needs another pro franchise.

I wonder how much longer my beloved Devils will hold on.

Bring'em on! Considering how bad the Knicks are, this is the perfect time to move the Nets: they're good, exciting, and would generate tons of buzz in Brooklyn, Mecca of streetballers everywhere, and without the Knicks to distract attention.

Consider this Brooklynite psyched to see this happen soon!

Considering that it's almost impossible to get tickets to see the Brooklyn Cyclones, a low A-ball team, I agree with you, David.

And, IIRC, there's a pretty good Haitan population in Bklyn. So the Expos could continue to exist in English and French. :)

Hey everyone. I'm writing a stroy for my college newspaper on the Nets moving to Brooklyn and I want to get a local perspective. If you want to give me your thoughts that would be great. Tom
