Under one possible scenario, they would start at the All-Star Game on July 11 in Miami, tweak the process over the season’s second half and then go forward with the experiment in the playoffs.

I’m so old that in order to earn a Cub Scout Badge, I had to memorize and perform all the hand signals for football fouls. Referees still use them, but with microphones now, I doubt anyone notices. I like this, as more information is better.
