Kluber’s Back

Corey Kluber starts the seventh inning for the Indians. It looks like he’ll go as long as he can.

It turns out not to be long, as he gives up a lead-off single to Ben Zobrist, and in comes Andrew Miller.

Update: Miller walks Kyle Schwarber. That’s Miller’s third walk of the post-season to go with 21 K.

Update: Javier Baez lines a 0-2 single to left to load the bases. So far, the Cubs are not impressed with Andrew Miller.

Update: Willson Contreras pops to shallow centerfield. Rajai Davis rushes in to make the catch and throws home. He didn’t notice that Kyle Schwarber had advanced from second, and the Indians miss the chance at a double play.

Update: Addison Russell strikes out swinging for the second out. I thought Davis made the right play to prevent the run from scoring. He needed to keep his eye on the ball to catch it, and the obvious move from there would be to throw home.

Update: David Ross strikes out, and Miller gets out of the jam. The Indians lead the Cubs 3-0 at the stretch.
