The Nationals and Marlins play the rubber game of their series as Max Scherzer faces trade target Dan Haren. Scherzer owns a 2.03 ERA on the road this season, but gave up five runs in his one start against the Marlins. Haren allowed 20 home runs in 123 innings, but 15 were solo shots.

The Angels and Astros finish their series, with Houston going for the sweep and a two-game lead in the AL West. Matt Shoemaker takes on the recently acquired Scott Kazmir. Shoemaker is having a good July, with a 2.45 ERA in four appearances. Kazmir pitched seven shutout innings in his first start for the Astros.
