Tommy Pham hits his first major league home run to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead over the Cardinals in the bottom of the third inning. Pham now has two major league hits in 11 MLB at bats, a double and a home run. He might want to change to golf, since he hits them far and not too often.
Pham wasn’t a power hitter in the minor leagues, with a .415 slugging percentage and a .159 isolated power. He was more of a doubles/triples hitter than a home run slugger.
Update: Pham doubles in the fifth and has driven in all three Cardinals runs today.
