Carrasco in the Ninth

Carlos Carrasco walked a batter but faced the minimum as he takes a no-hitter into the ninth inning as Cleveland leads Tampa Bay 8-0. Carrasco is scheduled to face Asdrubal Cabrera, Marc Krauss, and Curt Casali. Carrasco struck out 12 so far.

Update: Cabrera falls behind 0-2. He works the count full as Carrasco tries to get Cabrera to chase. After fouling off a pitch, Cabrera walks. Brandon Guyer pinch hits.

Update: The first pitch hits Guyer in the back.

Update: Grady Sizemore pinch hits. He grounds into a force play 6-4, as the shorstop had to range to his right to get the ball. One down.

Update: Kevin Kiermaier bats. He gets ahead 2-1. He swings and misses at a 2-2 pitch for the second out.

Update: Joey Butler bats. Butler was the only base runner for the Rays before the ninth. He falls behind 0-2. Butler does it, as he hits the 0-2 pitch on a line to right-center, and the no-hitter is over. The Rays score and the Indians lead 8-1. A great game by Carrasco.
