Werth’s Wrist

Jayson Werth‘s wrist is worse:

A CT scan showed two small fractures in the left wrist of Washington Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth, according to an MLB.com report.

Werth, who was hit by a pitch while batting on May 15, could return by August if his rehab goes to plan.

The Nationals should be able to replace his bat with Anthony Rendon eventually, and Michael Taylor can take care of fly balls in the outfield. Werth is an on-base machine, so having him and Rendon both in the lineup would be the best outcome for the stretch run.
