Cameron Maybin homered off Zack Greinke Wednesday night to help the Braves beat the Dodgers 3-2. Maybin is quietly having a good year. While his batting average is nothing special at .261, his .361 is very good, and he has a little pop. He’s walking a lot more than in the past, and it’s possible his home park helps him. He toiled for most of his career in tough parks for batters, but this year in Atlanta he’s posting a .314/.444/.529 slash line. He’s awful on the road, however, so last night’s homer was a step in the right direction.
