Off the Interstate

You can’t stop the Houston Astros, you can only hope to contain them. Down 7-3 to the Tigers after five, the Astros rallied for four runs in the sixth and went on to a 10-8 victory. Evan Gattis missed the cycle by a double, recording his second triple of the year. He only hit one in two seasons with the Braves. His 3 for 4 day raised his batting average over the Mendoza line, off I-87 to .201. With nine home runs and 16 extra base hits, his isolated power is a whopping .234. He’s contributing exactly the way the Astros wanted.
