Prince Pings Pineda

Two Yankees errors help lead to six runs for the Rangers, capped by a three-run homer by Prince Fielder against Michael Pineda. There was concern about Fielder coming into the season given the seriousness of his neck problem and the surgery to correct it. Looks like the surgeons did a pretty good job, as Fielder’s slash line after the homer stands at .341/.398/.506. Texas may get their money’s worth out of that contract after all. Mitch Moreland adds a solo home run, and the Rangers have scored seven runs in the top of the third to lead 7-0.
